At Dharatal we take pride in creation of contextually appropriate, sustainable design solutions within an increasingly changing world. Our studio work addresses new ways of adaptive re-use proposals for heritage structures, new contemporary interventions, private residences, and public buildings.

2.Culture and art

We assist local government bodies in application of UNESCO charters and recommendations like UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) and inclusion of community in various cultural programmes, UNESCO's Historic Urban Landscape Approach in South Asia, recommendations for World Monuments Watch list, etc.

3.Heritage conservation

We have a holistic approach towards the conservation of built heritage, starting from their digital documentation, research and to the execution of preservation tasks. We also assist national and local bodies with heritage conservation policies and community mobilization for heritage area development.

4.Landscape design

Our work addresses the growing need for our built environment to re-establish healthy relationships with the natural world. We expertise in revival of historic gardens in their original form and contemporary landscape design solutions involving water re-charge solutions and sustainable use of local flora.

5.Furniture design

Our expertise include the designing of bespoke interior spaces, especially the creation of furniture involving local craftsmanship with modern sensibilities as well as crafting lighting proposals that enhance the qualitative aspect of spaces.

6.Branding

Dharatal has also been involved in building brand identity by developing the visual language for a number of ventures that are closely associated with the documentation and propagation of cultural heritage.
