The concept of the design draws upon from the naval visual language which is inherently imbibed in the local culture of Naples with the marine surroundings.

Metaphorically, the new cantilevered built mass seems to float with canopies, reminding one, of the sails of a ship in strong winds, while the ruins anchor the floating mass to the coastal ground.
