Our criteria for the furniture was that it can derive from the works of Satish Gujral and Indian craftsmanship, and still can belong to a Belgian household . Practical aspect was also that it can fit into the present context as well as can be used in any other house you move to in future.

In both the options, the material for the bookshelf frame, is hollow tubes electroplated with brass

(a specialty of Moradabad in western U.P. famous for brass export), which will allow easy fixing and transfer. The tubes have a thin turquoise colored element flowing through it to enhance the lines in the design and also to bring out the Indian colors in it.
