Cultural center in
Bamiyan

The Bamiyan Cultural Qala proposal was influenced by the rich heritage of the multi-cultural region; the earthen cliffs and the Buddha niches, green fields and lakes, and ruined forts of the Islamic period of the Bamiyan valley.

Within earshot of the city’s citadel at the Shahr-e-Gholghola hill, the echoes of the past are heard in this qala yet this Cultural Qala sits humbly in the presence of the Buddhas of Bamiyan.
