Ahmedabad

Dharatal is involved in documenting the UNESCO World Heritage City of Ahmedabad for the Ahmedabad World Heritage City Trust (AWHCT), with a team of six architects trained and passionate about various aspects of heritage conservation in their site office in Desai ni pol in Khadia area of old Ahmedabad. The primary objective of this project is to develop an Architectural record of through measured drawings, photographs and site sketches in such a way that their significance /changes are clearly demonstrated.

Dhartal’s unique approach in this project was to use the documentation process as a tool to initiate dialogues with the stakeholders about the opportunities and challenges of residing in a historic neighbourhood.
