Orchha as tentative World Heritage

On the proposal by Madhya Pradesh State Government the nomination dossier of Orchha for the tentative list of India for the UNESCO World heritage program. A Tentative List is an inventory of those properties which each State Party intends to consider for nomination. 

 

The Historical ensemble of Orchha was accepted as part of the tentative list after Dharatal took up the drafting of the application in 2019.

 

Orchha cultural landscape was nominated under the Outstanding Universal Value Criteria II and IV.
